Trap wave music has been dominating both the hip-hop world and the pop charts for a long time with prominent acts such as Future, Young Thug and Lil Durk constantly topping the charts and remaining a mainstay in clubs and on the radio. This is not so much the case here in the UK, where outside of D Block Europe, M Huncho and Nafe Smallz – UK Drill is what is mostly heard and played or even spoken about. In comes new East London artist Cardoe who is set to change that with his own take on the trap wave sub-genre.
