Hailing from Peckham, South East London, up and coming singer songwriter Trinna Carter, teams up with producers Chris Andoh, 6IX VI and Jay Jay Musika to create brand new R&B EP ‘Checked In’. Self-described as a “five track therapy session”.
Stand-out track ‘Morning’ is derived from her own life experiences, with lyrics such as “Now that’s routine, knowing that you’re in my head rent free, never should have made you so comfy, you’re back upon on the streets where you belong. you keep saying you’re sorry, call me when you’re sober in the morning, tell me not to read between the story”, the sultry and soulful melody takes us through the journey of both passion and heart-break, backed with instrumentals that would have anyone in a trance.
This project is extremely personal to Trinna, as she walks us through a series of tough times during her previous relationship. However, she does not let these experiences define her as she uses this as inspiration to create music that a lot of her listeners will find relatable.
Having already worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Tion Wayne and Renz to name a few, Trinna’s new release has also been supported by radio stations including BBC 1XTRA and Reprezent Radio. There is no doubt Trinna is already becoming a household name and we believe she will undoubtedly be a weighty opponent to her peers.
Trinna intends on using her new music to empower other females to be vigorous in their individuality. Best described as an artist that is one to watch, ‘Checked In’ will effectively solidify her place in the UK R&B scene,
‘Checked In’ is out now on all platforms.
