“Starrah” The girl behind some of the biggest hits of 2016

She may not be a household name just yet, but 26 year old Starrah from California has had one amazing year in music. Little known Starrah (Real name: Brittany Hazard) has been all over some of the biggest songs we’ve heard this year and is credited as a writer for some of the biggest artists on the planet including The Weeknd, Drake and Rihanna.

Her 2016 hit list includes:

  • Kevin Gates – 2 Phones (which has been certified Double platinum)
  • Rihanna – Needed me (Rihanna’s longest-charting hit—over 42 weeks on the charts—on Billboard Hot 100.)
  • Travis Scott – Pick up the phone (Which has been certified Gold)
  • Drake –  Fake Love
  • Cashmere Cat ft Selena Gomez and Tory Lanez – Trust Nobody

Starrah is also credited as a writer on ‘True colours’ from The Weekend’s latest Starboy album, Pass Dat of Jeremih’s Late Nights album, as well as on ‘Way Back’ and ‘Lose’ from TravisBirds in the Trap Sing McKnight.

In addition to writing hits for stars, Starrah has also been busy working on releases of her own and has so far released two songs which can be heard on her Soundcloud. If there is one person set to have a good year in 2017, hitmaker Brittany Hazard would be a safe bet.
