London based singer/songwriter, Gisèle, delivers on brand new project ‘Renaissance’. Packed with smooth vocals and sweet melodies throughout, ‘Renaissance’, is a five-piece body of work that effortlessly encapsulate Gisèle’s growth and a new beginning in her career.
Teaming up with producers including JRE, NS, IMPVLSE and Jostopac, Gisèle delivers a project that is infectiously sweet to the ear, seamlessly fusing together Afrobeat notes and silky R&B flavours.
Opening the project with “Seasons”, listeners will be drawn in by the track’s multifaceted layers, pieced together by the sound of warm guitar flicks and her distinctively buttery vocals, before being drawn into the next single “Gangsta”. Teasing listeners with a taste of her French tongue, Gisèle gives us a glimpse of her bilingual versatility, later moving into the uptempo number, “Higher”. Wrapping up the project in just under fifteen minutes with “Shoulda Been” and “Savage”, this perfectly packaged body of work is enough to keep you wanting more.
Speaking on the making of the project, Gisèle says: “The title of the EP, Renaissance, comes from the direct translation of the word’s French origin, ‘Rebirth’ but also inspired by the historical period which was a time of great reform & revival. Essentially, this body of work is symbolic of a new beginning for Gisèle.”
