The video presents itself with a lockdown-appropriate vibe, giving the audience an intimate behind the scenes access to Rebecca in the studio with Mulla Stacks and a few friends.
The video starts off with Mulla Stackz singing into the microphone, mimicking a studio session, as he delivers his verse confidently in front of the camera. Rebecca then does the same, and we get a cute cameo from the two of them, letting us know the theme of the song is definitely romantic. The video is filled with candid, natural moments which creates a good element of relatability, as Rebecca shows intimate moments recorded on her phone – and we are all too familiar with whipping our phones out to get some good content for our stories!
It is impressive to see artists maximising their potential in the midst of a pandemic, it shows true adaptability skills and for some reason, it really gives me an idea of how hungry an artist is to get their work out there.
The video is kept quite simple, but Rebecca has kick-started her 2021 with a song that speaks for itself. I look forward to hearing more from her this year, as I get the feeling she’ll be around for a long time.
