Manchester’s SVMI drops new single “P.O.P Hold It Down”

Following the success of his homegrown single Bait Lies, SVMI returns with an equally pleasing track to take us into the summertime.

The visuals for this track was directed by SVMI himself, alongside Archie Erskine, who has worked with the likes of Giggs and One Acen. The video is shot on film, which gives a more intimate and personal setting, as you see SVMI vibing with his friends and having a good time. It gives a feel that life is meant to be enjoyable whilst creating your art, and also paints a picture of what kind of artist SVMI is shaping up to be. With this track produced by LiTek, who has worked with Central Cee and Rag’n’Bone Man, it’s clear SVMI is one to watch as he carefully develops his artistry.

Knowing he took creative direction with his visuals further proves that no one knows your vision better than you, as I feel this has been executed perfectly. His personality comes across well in the video, with him citing his lyrics whilst taking a bite of pizza. The song itself creates a nice mellow atmosphere, and it’s definitely one to whip out Shazam for!

I look forward to SVMI’s journey, as he steps further into the limelight and I’m excited to see where his artistic journey takes him.
