UK producer and A&R Finch Fetti lists 4 recently discovered artists whom he’d like to hear more from. This week the spotlight is on:
N0rika, YT, Trigglaa & Downtown Kayoto (Wk17)
[1] N0rika (UK) www.instagram.com/n0rikaaa
Ideal for Fans of: Jorja Smith, Aaliyah & Pip Millet
Description: N0rika is a singer/songwriter that released the song ‘Talk About Us’, which is an R&B based track that still has a domestic British feel to it. N0rika’s tone, cadence and lyrics on this track is really impressive, as it really creates such a passionate, heartfelt and emotional vibe throughout. The production is bare with a subtle guitar melody looped throughout, which creates the perfect canvas for N0rika to express her retrospective and vulnerable feelings and at points does give the track a subtle ballad feel.
Favourite Release: N0rika – Talk About Us

[2] YT (UK) www.instagram.com/tolafolaa
Ideal for Fans of: Ugly God, Sam Wise & Wintertime
Description: YT is someone I recently came across and I am really excited to see him come up. YT’s music seems to be a reflection of the alternative, chill and spacey hip hop music that is quietly brewing in the UK music scene. YT’s song ‘Arc’teryx’ is one of his more subtle and bright sounding songs that takes more of a humorous, brash and carefree approach, in comparison to some of his more darker sounding trap stuff. The beat on this track is light and colourful and creates a perfect contrast to YT’s monotone and sharp british tone that is clearly displayed with his off the wall lyrics and witty wordplay.
Favourite Release: YT – Arc’teryx
Latest Release: YT – Kiko
[3] Trigglaa (UK) www.instagram.com/trigglaa
Ideal for Fans of: Russ & Gully
Description: Trigglaa’s song ‘Demon Time’ right in the space where street UK Drill music and radio friendly UK Drill anthem exist. This song has all the recipes of a street Drill track but is also adopted elements of a jumpy street record you could hear here going off at a festival. Trigglaa who appears to be very charismatic and bold, displays his energetic and off the whole style and musical personality over this track that is subtly reminiscent of Backroad Gee.

[4] Downtown Kayoto (UK) www.instagram.com/downtownkayoto
Ideal for Fans of: Downtown Kayoto has a classic Indie Pop sound that has elements of modern Hip Hop and Rap to it. His sound does also seem to borrow from a wide range of other genres like Rock, Jazz and even R&B. His vocals are very reminiscent of that of the late 90’s and early 2000’s rock sound, whereas his production has a more modern upbeat jazzy Hip Hop aesthetic to it. His songs like ‘ROX’ does have a radio ready appeal to it but it does not comprise the artistic side of it as Downtown Kayoto vocal performances are amazing and his lyrics are written in a very unfiltered and vulnerable dialogue.
