Finch Fetti’s 4 recently discovered artists: Tigz, Rosa Cecilia, Aonenine & Ledbyher (Wk21)

UK producer and A&R Finch Fetti lists 4 recently discovered artists whom he’d like to hear more from. This week the spotlight is on:

Tigz, Rosa Cecilia, Aonenine & Ledbyher

 [1] Tigz (UK) www.instagram.com/tigzofficial

Ideal for Fans of: Mist & Ratlin

Description: Came across Tigz latest track ‘Eyes on Me’ on LinkUpTv and was seriously impressed with everything from the production, lyrical content and flow. Tigz has a very intense and intimidating style that is direct and very raw as he adopts more of a classic UK rap style. The track ‘Eyes on Me’ samples a 90’s R&B classic that is laced with some jumpy trap drums, which Tigz covers in heartfelt and brash lyrics of his lifestyle and mindsight. This is something I could see connecting well with the right kind of audience and is one of those tracks that is a bubbling street anthem.

[2] Rosa Cecilia (UK) www.instagram.com/itsrosacecilia

Ideal for Fans of: Ari Lennox & Linda Diaz

Description: Shout out to Spotify playlists because I would have not come across this fire track from Rosa Cecilia. ‘Passers-by’ is one of those sexy and smooth Jazzy, Funk and R&B inspired songs that seems to be flourishing with a lot of 60/70’s influence. Rosa’s voice is silky but still sharp as she sings softly about romantically themed topics as she creates a chill and ethereal mood with this song that could work well in most atmospheres.

[3] Aonenine (UK) www.instagram.com/aonenine

Ideal for Fans of: UnoTheActivist & Lancey Foux

Description: Aonenine is an artist bubbling within the alternative UK rap space as he combines elements of the southern inspired trap sound that dominated the soundcloud era around 2016, with his obscure british inspired tones and flows. ‘Bolo’ for me is a standout track as he flows effortlessly in a variety of vocal inflections over a spacey trap beat (produced by Billzonthebeat). This for me is a song that has a wide reach and would not only kill in a hype live performance but would also be perfect for a chilled environment.

[4] Ledbyher (UK) www.instagram.com/israchelhome

Ideal for Fans of: Niko B & Jimothy Lacoste

Description: Another shout out to the Spotify playlists for putting me on to Ledbyher, who is an artist that has a very downtempo, tongue in cheek and ethereal sound to her music. Ledbyher appears to be one of those artists that really lets their personality resonate in their music as her lyrical content and delivery is done in such a transparent, charismatic and at times humorous way. ‘Driving Test’ is one of those songs from Ledbyher that seems to be based on a very relatable life experience and is performed over a spacey electronic type production you could hear being produced by Mac Miller production alter ego Larry Fisherman. Ledbyher is definitely an artist I see connecting with a younger audience and making a lot of noise on the UK music scene.
