Finch Fetti’s 4 recently discovered artists: Solis, M’Way, SOFY & 0Sm0ke

UK producer and A&R Finch Fetti lists 4 recently discovered artists whom he’d like to hear more from. This week the spotlight is on:

Solis, M’Way, SOFY & 0Sm0ke

 [1] Solis (NI) www.instagram.com/solis4evr

Ideal for Fans of: Clairo & Abra

Description: Solis who is a Nigerian based artist has a very mellow but upbeat californian styled bedroom pop sound that revolves around a lot of vulnerable romantic topics. Her song ‘F*ck Boys Kiss Girls’ is an addictive soft pop track, where she sings softly over a simple yet colourful lofi beat about a specific audience in a very direct and open manner. This track is surely one to connect very well with the right audience and is something you could hear as a synch in the right scene for a TV show/movie.

Favourite Release: Solis – F*ck Boys Kiss Girls

Latest Release: Solis – I’m A Mess Freestyle

[2] M’Way (UK) www.instagram.com/1mway

Musical Comparison: Young Dolph & Suspect

Description: M’way has a very authentic Trap sound that seems to be influenced from the Memphis Trap sound. He has a very strong northern accent that combined with mellow rapping demeanor gives his rapping style a unique and edgy tone. His flow is choppy, delivery is slurred and lyrical content is confident, brash and direct, which are all accompanied by a jumpy Trap beat. M’way style is perfect for creating an anthem and songs like ‘Whole Lotta Guap’ is a great example of how he can create a contagious Trap anthem.

Favourite Release: M’Way – Whole Lotta Guap

Latest Release: M’Way – In The T

[3] SOFY (UK) www.instagram.com/sofysounds

Ideal for Fans of: Lily Allen & Kate Nash

Description: SOFY is probably one of the artists I’ve been most excited about coming across in a long time. Her sound seems to be influenced from Lo-Fi hip hop and early Indie Pop music from the UK, her sound also does have a Neo-Soul element to it as a whole. SOFY has a brash and open writing style that laced over subtle and smooth boom bap beats that compliments her soft singing style. Her song ‘Softboi Symphony’ clearly embodies the points I mentioned above with its laid back vibes and is one of those songs you could place in your chill Sunday morning playlist.

Favourite Release: SOFY – Softboi Symphony

Latest Release: SOFY – Voicenotes (Demo Mixtape)

[4] 0Sm0ke (UK) www.instagram.com/0sm0ke

Ideal for Fans of: Swift & John Wayne (Johnny Gunz)

Description: 0sm0ke has a very gritty and raw UK Trap and Drill sound that is menacing and generally has an eerie feel to it. He has a very unique and obscure rapping tone that is not that common in the UK and it adds more to the menacing vibe of his music. His song ‘Permanent Marker’ is one of his more upbeat tracks that still displays everything mentioned as shows his ability to make more of an anthem track that doesn’t stray too far from his dark and intense sound.

Favourite Release: 0Sm0ke – Permanent Marker

Latest Release: 0Sm0ke – Permanent Marker
